Derry Mensah may be a pretty decent specimen of manhood, but even he can’t turn a lesbian straight he has claimed.
The X Factor star is of course member of boyband The Risk – along with fellow hunks Charlie Healy, Andrew Merry and Ashford Campbell – and has always been a hit with the ladies, but in a recent interview he decided to clear up a rumour which had spread concerning himself and former contestant Sami Brookes.
The busty brunette may be a lesbian, with a long term girlfriend, but still some suggested that she had slept with Mensah during their time in the X Factor mansion.
Speaking to Now about the rumours, when Derry was asked if he bedded Sami, he replied:
‘No! She used to flirt with me and said she’d snog me when she left.
‘She also said she’d had a dream about making love to me.
''I was just like: “Sami, you bad girl!”
He added:
“It was a bit of a shock for us to read about having sex.
‘Also, she’s a lesbian, so it was like, wow, apparently I can turn a
lesbian!’

However, Derry did confess that he had one crush during his time on the ITV show and revealed that he had his eye on one of the Little Mix singers for a while. The former Burger King worker continued:
“Leigh-Anne Pinnock is really beautiful and I chat to her a lot. We were in the same challenge at boot camp, so I spent time with her there.”
“She’s single, I’m single, who knows? Maybe one day, but at the moment we’ve both got tasks in hand, so we’ll just stay friends.
“We’ll see what happens on tour…”
Well, it was the X Factor tour that brought Zayn Malik and Rebecca Ferguson together, so you never know what may happen.
Personally, we’d love to see another reality TV hook up. Wouldn’t you?
