Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik get mum's OK

LITTLE Mix songstress Perrie Edward’s new romance is heading in the right direction, she’s had her mum’s full blessing!
The singing star – winner of the recent X Factor series with her three bubbly chums – went public with her relationship with One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik last week.
And her proud mum Debbie couldn’t be happier, hoping the twosome have a super future together having finally come clean about their blossoming romance three months after becoming a couple.
“They make a lovely couple. I really hope they make a go of it,” said Debbie, of South Shields, South Tyneside.
“I’ve been to his house and met the two of them with his mum and his three sisters, and I think they’re really good for each other.”
It was last December that rumours began circulating that things were heating up between the South Shields singer and Zayn, both 19, after they were spotted smooching behind the scenes of the X Factor when One Direction made a guest appearance.
The pair were also said to be cuddling up during filming a video for the show’s charity single last weekend.
But mum Debbie says they were just friends at the time – and a love match wasn’t made until March.

“They’ve known each other a while through the X Factor and all of Little Mix are good friends with the One Direction boys, and Perrie and Zayn were just friends.
“But they’ve always kept in contact with phone calls and texts, and decided to take the next step a few months ago.
“Their first date was at the cinema. It was a lovely date but I don’t think Perrie could relax and enjoy it because she was so worried they were going to get spotted.
“It’s a difficult world for them to have a relationship but I really hope it works out for them, and hope they come to the North East together soon.
“Zayn is still on tour at the moment so most of the relationship is being conducted over texts, calls and emails.
“They are both very level-headed and good for each other because they’re both starting out in the business at the same time.

“It’s a brilliant life for Zayn travelling the world, but at the same time he knows he can talk to someone who isn’t just a fan and knows what it’s like in that world.”
Debbie is full of excitement for Little Mix’s debut single, due for release on July 22, and hopes everyone likes it as much as family members.
“It’s really catchy, a great summer tune,” she said.
“It’s all starting to come together for them now, and all the girls just hope fans like their sound too.”
