He backed them to win X Factor, despite not having been on the panel in last year's show.
And now it seems Simon Cowell is keen for the show's winners Little Mix to get started on their plan for world domination.
T
he music mogul was seen having a covert meeting with the girlband at a London hotel earlier this week, along with fellow popstar Jamelia.
Both Cowell and Little Mix appeared to be attempting to keep their heads down as they arrived for the meeting.
However, the girls - Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall - defeated the purpose of going incognito as they tweeted about the meeting.
T
hey wrote on their official Little Mix Twitter page: 'Amazin day recordin then meetin with mr cowell! Great end to this weeks mixers monday! Nanite little mixers. (sic)'
It was revealed after the girls beat Marcus Collins to be named the winners of X Factor 2011 that Cowell was backing them for big things.
A source said at the time: 'He genuinely believes they could be bigger than the Spice Girls. He's had huge successes in
his career but a massive girl band has not really been one of them.
'They are young and they work phenomenally hard, so the sky's the limit.
'There hasn't been such love for a girl band in years.'
