Alexandra Burke has said that Little Mix need to “have fun” as they set about working on their debut album.
The X Factor winners will perform alongside Burke at the Tickled Pink ‘Girl’s Night In’ gig at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Thursday (January 12).
Speaking to Digital Spy, the singer – who filled in for an ill Kelly Rowland during the live shows – said that Little Mix need to “have fun” on their journey.
“This is such a vital time where they have got to get their heads down and really work on making an amazing album,” she said. “They need to enjoy themselves. There are a lot of changes that they are going to go through in their lives. Their lives have obviously changed drastically overnight.”
Asked what advice she would give the girl group, Burke said: “It’s a matter of keeping those who you trust and love dearly close to you, and keeping a great team around you. You should always remember to be yourself; that’s the best advice anyone can really give.”
