Everyone’s been saying that newly crowned X Factorchamps Little Mix could be bigger than the Spice Girls, and now an actual Spice Girl has said it! Mel C totally rates the girls and thinks they're headed for huge success. Wow!
“Little Mix could be even bigger than The Spice Girls. Plus, they’ve got an added bonus in that all four of them have equally amazing vocals. With The Spice Girls, vocals weren’t our strong point,” Mel toldITV.com.
Er, did she just diss the Spices’ vocal abilities? Ouch!
Role models
Mel also revealed that she thought Little Mix are special because of their talent and because they’re positive role models,
“I’m over the moon about Little Mix winning. It’s also ground-breaking having a girl group win for the first time in X Factor history. Girl power!” Yes, Mel actually just said the words ‘girl power’! Amazing!
“I love that they are such positive role models and more importantly, relatable to their fans. There are so many girl groups out there that are overtly sexy and uber-stylish, so it’s a breath of fresh air to have a group like Little Mix enter the music industry to represent for the ladies.” Continued Sporty Spice, “They’re supremely talented, humble and adorable. I really hope they won’t lose that. I also loved all the tears they displayed every week. It showed how much they cared and made me want to give them a big group hug.”
Spice advice
Mel also has some words of wisdom for Little Mix, advising them to always make sure they talk to each other to avoid a Geri Halliwell style rift,
“Nurture your relationships within the band, respect and take care of one another. There will he highs and lows, so it’s paramount you keep the lines of communication open.”
