Johnny Nelson, 22, also faced two further charges of driving while disqualified and driving without insurance when he appeared at Redbridge Magistrates Court.
Nelson, of Hornchurch, Essex, was allegedly filmed selling cocaine from a Smart car to an undercover journalist on December 14 last year.
