We thought all the One Direction / Little Mix rumours had fired up because of this year's X Factor. We imagined their eyes meeting across Simon Cowell's chair (yes we know it's now Gary's but it's still not the same), the pyrotechnics going off all around them, and Louis Walsh gently weeping in the background.
But apparently we can put our thoughts in the shredder, because One Direction and (one of) Little Mix had met before! YEAH. SHOCKER.
“I’m actually friends with Liam," Jade told We Love Pop magazine.
"We both auditioned for The X Factor three years ago and got through to boot camp. He sent a few texts wishing us luck and stuff and I met all of them last year.
"They were all really nice but they forgot about me. Now that I’m famous they wanna know who I am again.
Niall in particular has made a bit of a point about wanting to get to know Jade, tweeting; "Jade from little mix is a propa cutie! Just watched xtra factor! Ahaha!" last year.
Which confuses us with all the chat about Niall liking Perrie Edwards too.
